Dealing With the Spirit of Error
How to excel and maintain excellence in your Ministry/Personal Christian Life


What is the spirit of error in the life of a Christian? It is that spirit hidden within one assigned to cut short the glory of his ministry. It is that spirit that prevents one from excelling: A spirit that if it is not thoroughly dealt with- no matter the height the ministry attains- it will truncate it at its peak.

Many ministries and ministers have fallen out of divine reckoning at one stage in life due to their inability to deal with this subtle but deadly spirit.

This book looks at this spirit, its various dimensions and how they can be dealt with. It also looks at various men of God in the bible, examining the kind of spirit of error in operation in their life and the significance it played in their overall ministry.

The book does not seek to criticize the lives of the men of God listed but to expose the spirits at work and assigned by the enemy to destroy their ministries, using their personal lives as illustrations. It also seeks to serve as self x-ray tool for us to re-examine and determine which of these spirits are lurking in our lives and how to deal with them before they deal with us.


A close scrutiny of various lives has revealed that virtually every minister of God, nay, child of God has at least one (or more) of these deadly spirits hiding somewhere waiting to strike whenever the opportunity arises. The most unfortunate thing is most people are oblivious of the fact that such spirits are preying on them, plotting their downfall.

It is hoped through the exposures in this book one will be diligent enough to search for these spirits in their embryonic stage and nip them in the bud wherever they may exist in ones life.

It will be noted that for some of the subjects more than one spirit of error was in operation in their lives. Likewise the spirits are named after the person in whose ministry they were found to manifest.
The latter is in no way meant to mock or disdain the person in question but to highlight the fact that despite their outstanding achievements as Men of God such deadly spirits could silently plot their downfall. The point is that if it could happen to such great men whose deeds are worthy of mention in the bible how much more could such happen to us if we do not care to deal with them!
In certain cases it is noted that the word “foundation” is put in bracket besides certain spirits. This indicates that the man of God in question actually inherited this spirit.
In criticising this work many may argue that the deeds of Satan in a ministers life should not be glorified. In defense however, one would state the fact that such flaws were mentioned in the bible means that God wants us to learn from them.
It is believed that if one is aware of the existence of such spirits and deals with them promptly the enemy will find it difficult to pull one down in the early or latter stage of ones ministry. May the Lord open our eyes to see what the enemy does not want us to see about our lives and deal with it accordingly.
Also, the book highlights that one can actually deal with these spirits, providing examples of those who did, thus, having no smear recorded against their names.
It is our utmost desire that as children in his vineyard the Lord will enable us to fulfill our divine calling without the devil having occasion to contend for our bodies as he did for that of Moses.
